Taking a break from my obsessive Pokemon Black playing to post about one of the newest additions to my collection, Project Mameshiki's rendition of Touhou Project's Flandre Scarlet.
Damn, is she ever cute!
The first thing I noticed, other than how adorable the box is, is how wonderful her paintjob is.
She's very smooth and everything about her is absolutely perfect. The only factory paint flaw is a small dab of yellow under her kercheif.
Almost immediately I broke a gem off her wing while trying to attach them to her back, fortunately Krazy Glue saved the day.
Of course, her hat comes off to allow the switching of faceplates for different expressions. Inside the hat you can see that there are two different hole settings to set the hat in, so she's not stuck with just one configuration. I found this incredibly thoughtful!
The only thing I thought sad about this is that peg that sticks out of her head when the hat is off...
Sadly, the plastic of this piece isn't the same as her hair, so it looks a little out of place. Still better than the peg though.
As you can see, she comes with three faces and a blank one, along with a sheet of stickers to make the last expression with. They were thoughtful enough to include two of each expression if you can't make up your mind or want to change expressions frequently.
She has a set of bent arms and legs, and several different hands. She also comes with her weapon and a pretty clear stand to display her on. It's not quite as nice as the figma stands and it attaches kind of awkwardly to the bottom of her skirt, but it's still a lot better than stands included with the Revoltech line.
Paint Job: 5/5
Posability: 3.5/5 Although this can't be helped too much as she's a chibi figure
Sculpt Quality/Detail: 5/5
Extra Parts: 4/5 I just don't like that stand.
Fun & Cute Factor: 5/5
90% - Highly Recommended!
Once I have the money, I definitely will have to get my hands on her sister, Remelia Scarlet.
